Through summer associate positions, internships, externships for academic credit, research assistantships, and other opportunities, UNC students are able to get hands-on experience in a variety of ways. As is typical for law students across the country, many students intern with government, nonprofit and public interest organizations that are only able to take students on a volunteer basis. UNC offers those students the opportunity to apply for funding through Public Interest Summer Grants.
